Russ Pritchard:

Russ began his career at North Highline Fire District on May 5, 1965 when he was accepted as a volunteer firefighter. He was seventeen years old. Within three years he was hired as a paid man, and was on his way up the "ladder".

He quickly climbed up the ranks and was named Assistant Fire Marshal - and then Fire Marshal. In the mid 1990's, Federal Way, Des Moines, SeaTac, and the Burien Fire Departments tried to consolidate (Salt Water Ridge). Russ moved his office to Federal Way and became Training Coordinator for all five departments. He was promoted to Chief on Sept. 1, 1996, after the Salt Water Ridge consolidation attempt failed.

In addition to running the Fire Department, Russ immersed himself in local politics. He served as President of the Highline Exchange Club, President of the White Center Chamber of Commerce, and a board member on the White Center Community Development Association. He was also a founding member and President of the North Highline Unincorporated Area Council (formed to represent the 32,000 citizens and business owners in the area).

Gary Coy:

As a second generation Washingtonian, my early years were divided between living in the Highline neighborhood and Summers in Southeastern Alaska. It was during my time in Alaska that I started working as a commercial fisherman. This profession continued for seven seasons and kept me busy through graduation from Highline High School and into my next job at Boeing. In the early sixties my time was spent at Boeing until I joined the Army in 1965. My two years of service were spent in Southeast Asia. Upon my return home, Boeing accepted me back and immediately school started again. New opportunities arose and I found myself leaving Boeing and working in Sales for two large companies over the next seven years. The mid seventies introduced me to commercial real estate, and so began a new career. It was through commercial real estate that I became involved in the many facets of business that I enjoy today.

Prior to being appointed to the board of Water District #20, I had approximately eight years experience on the board of Water District #85 that became part of WD 20 in 2003.

Darold P Doell:

Darold Doell's community service spans over 30 years as both Water and Fire Commissioner.  In both positions, he constantly strived to improve services and maximize utilization of the ratepayers' dollars.

Darold Doell wants Water District 20 ratepayers to know:

* Is non-partisan and will represent each District member with fairness and equality.

* A strong custodian for ratepayers' funds by maintaining the purest and most efficient water system for your dollar.

* Has earned the reputation as an experienced business leader who is friendly, knowledgeable, and is especially understanding of the water needs within the District.

* Project Manager for numerous multimillion dollar Geo-Thermal and Water projects.

Darold is a long time Burien resident.  A retired Air Force Officer that has spent his entire adult life serving country and community.  Has Bachelor of Arts and Masters degrees in Business Administration.  Married with two grown children.

General Manager Dick Swaab:

Raised in Burien and Normandy Park area, Dick graduated from Highline High School.  His first job out of school was as a Meter Reader for King County Water District No. 20.  Dick worked his way up the ranks at the District, going from Meter Reader to Field Crew Technician, to Field Superintendent, then General Manager.

Dick's 33 year history with the District and even longer history in the area, is invaluable when working on planning operations and predicting future needs for the District.
